Retirement planning and projection calculators
Five projection tools that answer 'am I on track?' with assumptions the client can see and change.
Projection calculators are where planning conversations start. Each uses the client's own return and inflation assumptions and shows what it ignores, which keeps the result honest and supports the disclosures advisers need.

Planning & projections: questions firms ask
Which projection calculator should we feature first?
The retirement planner for savers and the savings-duration calculator for people close to retiring. The shortfall calculator works well in a follow-up email.
Do they use Monte Carlo simulation?
No. They use a constant assumed return. That is simpler to explain and disclose, and the calculator pages say so.
Can couples plan together?
Yes, the two-spouse planner handles two savers with different ages and balances.
Do they include Social Security?
The income and planner tools accept a Social Security estimate as an input. For estimating the benefit itself, use the Social Security calculators.
How should an RIA present projections?
As client-run scenarios with methodology and assumptions visible. Review with your CCO; see the compliance guide.
Can we set default return assumptions?
Yes, defaults are editable per calculator.
Do they account for taxes in retirement?
Most work in pre-tax dollars and say so. Tax-aware withdrawal planning is the professional conversation they lead to.
Which plan includes them?
Network.
