Day 1Getting started

Your first calculator,
live this afternoon

A practical checklist from sign-up to the first request: what to decide, what to click, and what to tell your clients.

In short

How do I get started with client calculators?

Create your account, choose two or three calculators for your busiest questions, apply your colors and wording, embed them on a dedicated page of your website, switch on lead capture with your notification email, test a request, and announce the page to your clients by email.

Checklist

The afternoon checklist

  1. Create your account (5 minutes)

Sign up, verify your email and turn on two-factor sign-in.

  2. Choose calculators (10 minutes)

Pick the questions you answer most. The calculator library shows the month each peaks.

  3. Brand them (15 minutes)

Theme, colors, font, title, button text and disclaimer wording.

  4. Create a page on your site (20 minutes)

One page per calculator, with a short intro in your words and the embed. Use the guide for your platform.

  5. Switch on lead capture (5 minutes)

Required fields, notification recipients and the button label.

  6. Connect your CRM (optional, 10 minutes)

Add a webhook on Firm or Network.

  7. Test (5 minutes)

Run the calculator on your phone and submit a test request.

  8. Announce (15 minutes)

Email clients a link with one sentence on when to use it.

First email

A first email that works

Keep it short and specific to the season. Name the question, link the calculator, and say how to reach you.

Example

'Year-end is close. If you have an IRA, you can check your 2026 required minimum distribution on our site in a minute. Questions about which account to take it from? Reply and we'll help.'
